• Children are welcome, but for safety, 12 years and younger are required to wear lifejackets at all times (on boat/floating craft).

Included typically:

• Guide services and expert instruction
• All required safety gear (lifejackets, etc.) on fishing charters 
• Basic fishing gear (rods, tackle) for fishing trips

You should bring:

• Weather-appropriate clothing (rain gear, warm layers)

• Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen

• Snacks/water

• Camera or binoculars for wildlife viewing

• We see Moose typically from May through to October.  Babies- June, July and August best times for Moose on Water, Bulls - September through October.  Our tours end the week prior to the local hunting season, for safety and ethical practices.
• Fishing season for us starts when the ice is out and docks are in.  Generally third weekend in May and runs through to third week in September.

• Tour durations vary: moose watching tours may run 4 - 5hours inclusive of travel to viewing sites.

• Fishing charters may span half-day or full-day, depending on customer preference.

• Tours may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions (storms, high winds, rough water) make them unsafe.

• If the guide cancels, clients are typically offered a full refund or reschedule.

• If clients cancel, advance notice is required (72 hours) which all will be refunded with exception of the minimal transaction fee.

• Yes, for many fishing charters, you must have a valid Maine fishing license. Link on our page, and you can purchase at Indian Hill Trading Post on your way into town.  ** If purchasing one day license be sure date is accurate.
• For moose watching tours, no permits needed..

• Boats and tours have capacity limits based on safety, comfort, and vessel or vehicle size. 4 adults.

• For larger parties, group or private tour arrangements may be available. Splitting day and swapping individuals out.
• Moose Tours can take up to 5 adults.

While guides go to known habitats and prime times, wildlife and fishing depend on natural behavior. Sightings and catches can’t be absolutely guaranteed. However, expert guides and preferred areas significantly increase the odds.
